Jailbreak is not retained after iPhone reboot:

– palera1n (checkra1n) a semi-tethered jailbreak. This means that when your device reboots, you’ll need to re-jailbreak it; and you need to connect it toMacbook in order to rejailbreak. In other words, if you’re using palera1n, you want to avoid rebooting your device at all costs as it’ll require more work to re-jailbreak (it’ll require you to re-jailbreak through a PC).

Jailbreak for iOS are usually in 3 forms tethered, semi-tethered and untethered. With tethered and semi-tethered jailbreak you will need to re-jailbreak or run the jailbreak app each time your restart the phone. With untethered jailbreak restarting your device does not remove the jailbreak and is completely safe to reboot your device if needed.
